Every week, WoW Insider brings you Blood Pact for affliction, demonology and destruction warlocks. For those who disdain the watered-down arts that other cling to like a safety blanket … for those willing to test their wills against the nether and claim the power that is their right … Blood Pact welcomes you. Send questions, comments, or requests for something you’d like to see to tyler@wowinsider.com or via Twitter to @murmursofadruid.

All right, this past Wednesday, there was an extremely awesome Live Developer Q&A about class and system design that pretty much rocked house any way you look at it. While there were some good questions fielded about the next patch, a majority of it focused in on things to come in the next expansion; with the changes that we’ll be seeing, this isn’t surprising. In perfect form, Xelnath handled everything warlock like a beast. Respects, hats tipped, and similar jazz of the sort out to Blizzard.

Without wanting to waste much time, let’s jump right into all of what we have learned from the chat. It’s certainly worth waiting for.

Welcome back, warlocks! I know that this is technically the second post-BlizzCon article that you’ll be reading, but with how scheduling has to be done, for me at least, it’s actually the first. I know that it can get a little aggravating to have to wait this long for your roundup of new information, but let me assure you that it is well worth the wait.

Unlike the rest of the writers around this place, I’m not suffering from an incurable plague … guess it’s just a warlock thing. Shadow priest writer Fox Van Allen might joke that he’s getting 15% of the damage done by the BlizzCon Flu back as health, but clearly I’m just sitting there channeling Drain Life with no one to care about interrupting me. Speaking of Drain Life, the talents for the next expansion seem extremely promising. Why don’t we take a look at them? (You like that leap of topics, don’t you?)

WoW Insider’s on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative, and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.

I can’t really decide what my favorite thing from the patch 4.3 PTR is. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I can customize my gear to look pretty cool … or the new dungeons that are relatively quick, challenging and filled with plenty of worthwhile loot … or the fact that I’ve suddenly got 80 slots free in my bank. I can’t wait to see what the Dragon Soul raid has to offer, but right now, the next patch is looking really, really good.

Today we’ve got some posts from around the blogosphere regarding the PTR and patch 4.3.

Is there a story out there we ought to link or a blog we should be following? Just leave us a comment, and you may see it here tomorrow! Be sure to check out our WoW Resources Guide for more WoW-related sites.

Ready Check helps you prepare yourself and your raid for the bosses that simply require killing. Check back with Ready Check each week for the latest pointers on killing adds, not standing in fire, and hoping for loot that won’t drop.

Greetings once again, raiders. While the rest of the writers are off in their lofty towers of 4.3 land, I am stuck here in the trenches of reality. Fret not, we’ll soon be climbing out of this foxhole that we’ve found ourself in, but the time is not quite right. I promise you though, when next we hit 4.3 content with our feet running, it is going to be an epic adventure that you won’t want to miss. In the meantime, it’s back to the discussion on loot systems. Gear, after all, doesn’t distribute itself.

Last week, we talked about various DKP systems and the advantages or disadvantages that they hold. While DKP is a fairly common system that you’ll probably see in most guilds, it isn’t the only popular choice. This week, we’ll be taking a look into roll-based loot systems and how they too can be an effective method for distributing purples.

Many welcomes back once again, favored warlocks. If, like me, you are a studious creature of the night who probably has coffee flowing through his veins instead of anything closely resembling blood, then you know that late on Saturday night, Blizzard released some fun new information. My personal favorite CM (just don’t tell the others), Zarhym, released the new set bonuses associated with the up-and-coming tier 13. While at first we cursed that Zar would have the audacity to post such a thing in the wee hours of night, let’s take a look at what we’re to expected for the next patch and the terrible implications that come with it.

All does not seem to be well in the house of warlocks, my friends. Both of our newest tier sets hold warning signs of terrible things to come. We’ll be looking into those not-so-quiet rumblings and what they might hold for us in the next patch as we battle Deathwing himself.

WoW Insider’s on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative, and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.

Around this time last year, I was working on Icecrown Citadel and looking forward to Cataclysm. The year before that, I was taking my first steps in a new raid guild as we worked on Ulduar and Trial of the Crusader. The year before that, I was clearing Black Temple. It gets fuzzier as I go back in time, but I do have hundreds of fond memories, and I wonder — what am I going to be doing a year from now?

Today, we’ve got a few posts from around the blogosphere looking ahead at future content and one fond look at where we’ve been before.

This week’s Blood Pact comes at you from the road. To celebrate this whole freedom thing, I took a trip with small-town writer Fox Van Allen to visit friends in Philly. It’s a neat city. They have a bell or something; I was told there were some kind of papers signed here a while back that people cared about. All of it seems a little over the top for my liking.

The newest patch has been out for a nearly a week now. It’s been a fun little time. There’s been some raiding, some dailies to do, even a few great quest chains. I’ve had a blast. Warlocks saw only a few changes this time around, but the change in encounter design itself has altered the way that we look at our specs in general. Here’s a quick little ditty on how we’re adjusting to this new life.

WoW Insider’s on a Daily Quest to bring you interesting, informative, and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.

Patch 4.2 is looking pretty sharp — I don’t know about everyone else out there, but I think this is, hands down, the smoothest release of a major content patch that I’ve ever seen. And what a patch it is. The new quest chains are fun for the moment, dailies don’t look like they are going to get boring for me any time soon, and Firelands is very pretty, if full of all kinds of red.

Speaking of looking sharp, today we’ve got a few posts from around the blogosphere regarding looking good, among other things.
